Designing a catalog

Style the catalog's public page and apply a shared design theme to all the outlines inside it.

๐Ÿ”’
Plan requirement

Catalog design is available on the Grand Event, Multi-Day Event, and Business plans.

Overview

Open the Design editor from the catalog card on the Dashboard or from the Manage page. The editor has two top-level tabs:

  • Catalog Page โ€” styles the catalog's header, outline list, and page background. Changes here only affect the catalog listing page, not the individual outlines.
  • Outline Theme โ€” a shared design theme that overrides each outline's individual design when viewed inside this catalog. When enabled, a small ON badge appears on the tab. Toggle it off to let each outline keep its own design.

A live preview panel on the right updates as you make changes. Click anywhere in the preview to open a full-width view in a new tab.

Catalog Page tab

The Catalog Page tab is organized into three sections in the left nav: Global Settings, Presets, and Custom.

Global Settings

Apply a property to all text elements on the catalog page in one step โ€” useful for setting a consistent alignment, text transform, or color scheme without opening each panel individually.

Available global controls for the catalog page:

  • Alignment โ€” sets Left, Center, Right, or Justify across all catalog text at once
  • Heading Case โ€” text transform applied to the catalog title and accent badge
  • Body Case โ€” text transform applied to the outline count, description, and dropdown text
  • Heading Font โ€” font applied to heading-level elements (title, accent)
  • Body Font โ€” font applied to body-level elements (count, dropdown)
  • Heading Color โ€” color applied to the catalog title
  • Body Color โ€” color applied to the description and count text
  • Page Background โ€” sets the overall page background color
  • Header Background โ€” toggle and color for the header area behind the title block

Tip

Use Global Settings to establish a consistent base, then use the Custom panels to refine individual elements.

Color & Font Presets

Color Schemes

Browse curated color presets and apply one with a single click. Each scheme sets the page background, header, title, accent, and text colors for the catalog page all at once.

  1. Click Color Schemes in the Presets section of the nav.
  2. Browse the available schemes and click one to apply it to the live preview.
  3. Click Save to keep it, or use Undo to revert.

Font Combinations

Browse curated font pairings and apply one with a single click. Each combination sets fonts for the catalog title, accent, count line, and dropdown text.

  1. Click Font Combinations in the Presets section of the nav.
  2. Browse the curated pairings and click one to apply it.
  3. Click Save to keep it, or use Undo to revert.

Custom panels

Fine-tune individual elements of the catalog page using the Custom panels. Click any panel name in the nav to open it.

Page Background

Sets the background color of the entire catalog page โ€” header area and outline viewer included.

Header Area

Optionally adds a distinct background color behind the catalog header (title, badge, description, and outline count). Toggle the background on and pick a color.

Accent / Badge

The accent color drives the small Catalog ยท XXXXXXXX badge above the title, the expand chevron, and the live indicator. Full typography controls are available: font, size, weight, alignment, letter-spacing, line height, and text transform.

Title

Color, font, size, weight (bold), italic, alignment, letter-spacing, line height, and text transform for the main catalog title.

Outline Count

Styles the N outlines line below the title โ€” color, font, size, weight, and alignment.

Description

Sets the color of the catalog description text.

Outline List

Styles the expandable outline list that appears when a guest taps the chevron next to the count. Controls include:

  • Item title color โ€” the outline name in each row
  • Date / meta color โ€” the date, time, and venue line below each title
  • Item background โ€” toggle on to add a background color to each row
  • Full typography controls: font, size, weight, alignment, letter-spacing, line height, text transform

Tip

The Outline List inherits the catalog title's typography by default. Set overrides here to give the list its own distinct style.

Outline Theme tab

When the Apply to outlines toggle is on (enabled by default), every outline viewed inside this catalog uses the shared theme you design here instead of its own individual settings. This gives a consistent look across all outlines without editing each one. The tab shows an ON badge when the theme is active.

Like the Catalog Page tab, the Outline Theme tab has three sections in the nav: Global Settings, Presets, and Custom.

Global Settings

Apply alignment, text transform, font, or color to all outline text elements in one step โ€” same controls as the outline design editor's Global Settings.

Color Schemes

Browse curated color presets and apply one with a single click. Each preset sets the highlight color, background, and text colors for the outline theme all at once.

Font Combinations

Browse curated font pairings and apply one with a single click. Each combination sets fonts for the title, description, section headings, item headings, item content, and credits block.

Custom panels

Individual panels for fine-tuning each element of the shared outline theme:

  • Page Background โ€” background color for the outline viewer area inside the catalog
  • Header Area โ€” optional background color behind the outline title and description
  • Title โ€” font, color, size, weight, alignment, letter-spacing, line height, and text transform for the outline title
  • Description โ€” font, color, size, weight, alignment, and spacing for the outline description
  • Date & Venue โ€” styles the date, time, and venue line shown in the outline header
  • Section Heads โ€” color, background, border, font, size, and alignment for section divider rows
  • Item Cards โ€” background, border, and typography for item rows
  • Live Highlight โ€” the color used to highlight the currently live item during Live Control
  • Credits Block โ€” colors, fonts, and alignment for the credits / cast block

Saving, undoing, and resetting

  • Click Save in the toolbar to apply your changes.
  • Use Undo (Ctrl+Z) and Redo (Ctrl+Y) to step through unsaved changes.
  • Click Reset to restore defaults for the active tab only โ€” Catalog Page and Outline Theme defaults are reset independently.
