Help â€ē Designing programs

Designing programs

Customize colors, fonts, banner images, and the full visual style of your program.

🔒
Plan requirement

Design features require the Event, Grand Event, Multi-Day Event, Pro, or Business plan. Free plan programs use the default style and cannot be customized.

Opening the design editor

  1. From the Dashboard, find the program card and click Customize. The program editor opens.
  2. Click the Design tab in the tab bar at the top of the editor.
  3. The left panel (Controls) contains design options. The right panel shows a live preview of your program as you make changes.

Controls overview

The Controls panel is organized into three sections. Click any row to open that panel. You can also click directly on an element in the preview to open its relevant panel.

Global Settings

Apply a property across all text elements in one step — useful when you want a consistent alignment, text transform, font, or color scheme across the whole program without opening each panel individually.

Presets

  • Color Schemes — apply a ready-made color scheme across the whole program
  • Font Combinations — apply curated fonts across all text elements

Custom

  • Page & Banner — page background color, banner image, and full-page background image
  • Header Area — colors and styling for the program header block
  • Title — font, size, weight, alignment for the program title
  • Description — font and styling for the program description text
  • Date & Venue — font, size, color, and style of the date, time, and venue line
  • Section Heads — heading font, size, color, and background
  • Item Cards — card background, border, item heading and content font and colors
  • Live Highlight — background and text color of the currently highlighted item during a live session
  • Credits Block — styling for the credits section at the end of the program

Global Settings

Global Settings let you apply a single value to every text element at once. Open it from the top of the Controls nav, then click the Apply button next to each property to push it across all elements simultaneously.

Available global controls:

  • Alignment — set Left, Center, Right, or Justify across all text
  • Heading Case — set a text transform (e.g. Uppercase, Title case) for all heading elements (title, section heads, item titles, credits roles)
  • Body Case — set a text transform for all body text (description, item content, meta line, credits names)
  • Heading Font — set a single font for all headings
  • Body Font — set a single font for all body text
  • Heading Color — set a single color for all heading elements
  • Body Color — set a single color for all body text
  • Card Background — toggle and set a background color for all item cards and section heads simultaneously
  • Card Border — toggle and set a border color for all item cards simultaneously
💡
Tip

Use Global Settings to lay a consistent foundation, then use the individual Custom panels to fine-tune specific elements.

  3. Click Save to keep it, or use Undo to revert.

Font Combinations

  1. Click Font Combinations in the Controls panel.
  2. Browse the curated font pairings and click one to apply it.
  3. Click Save to keep it, or use Undo to revert.

Colors

Changing a color

  1. Click the relevant Custom panel (e.g., Header Area or Section Heads).
  2. Click the color swatch next to the property you want to change.
  3. A color picker opens. Select a color or type a hex value directly (e.g., #1a237e).
  4. The live preview updates immediately.
  5. Click Save in the toolbar when you're happy with the result.
💡
Tip

Ensure sufficient contrast between text and background colors for readability, especially on mobile. Use dark text on light backgrounds and vice versa.

Fonts and typography

Changing a font

  1. Click the Custom panel for the text element you want to change (e.g., Title, Section Heads, Item Cards).
  2. Click the font selector dropdown. Over 50 fonts are available.
  3. A preview of each font is shown in the dropdown.
  4. Click a font to apply it. The live preview updates.

Typography options per element

Depending on the element, you can control:

  • Font family — from the 50+ font library
  • Font size — select from a range of size steps
  • Bold / Italic — toggle weight and style
  • Alignment — Left, Center, Right, or Justify
  • Letter spacing — expand or compress character spacing
  • Line height — control vertical spacing between lines
  • Text transform — None, Sentence case, Title case, Uppercase, or Lowercase
💡
Tip

Keep to a maximum of 2 different font families for a polished look. A common pairing is a decorative heading font and a clean sans-serif body font.

AI design generator Event+

Generate a complete design theme in one click by describing your event type and preferences.

  1. Click AI in the design editor toolbar.
  2. Fill in the generator fields:
    • Event type — e.g., Wedding, Conference, Graduation
    • Tone — Formal, Semi-formal, or Casual
    • Color preference — describe a color palette or leave blank for AI to choose
    • Design notes — any additional style guidance (optional)
  3. Toggle Freeze fonts if you want to keep your current font choices and only change colors.
  4. Click Generate Design. The AI applies a complete color and font scheme to the live preview.
  5. If you like it, click Save. If not, use Undo (Ctrl+Z) to revert.
💡
Tip

Be specific in your color preference — "soft blush pink and gold" will produce a much more targeted result than "nice colors".

Undo, redo, and reset

All design changes are tracked in an undo history for the current session.

  • Undo: Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z, or the Undo button in the toolbar
  • Redo: Ctrl+Y / Cmd+Y, or the Redo button in the toolbar
  • Reset: click the Reset button in the toolbar to restore all design settings to their defaults. Your banner image is kept.
â„šī¸
Note

Undo history is lost when you close the tab. Your last saved design is always preserved.

Live preview

The right side of the design editor shows a real-time preview of how your program looks to guests. The preview includes your actual program content rendered with your design choices applied.

💡
Tip

Click directly on any element in the preview (title, description, date & venue line, section heading, item card, etc.) to jump straight to the relevant design panel.
